保育所準備のハンドメイド Wガーゼのハンカチ編（3歳8ヶ月）

保育所には毎日ハンカチが必要なので、お店でハンカチをいろいろ探してみましたが、市販の子供用ハンカチの色や柄がイマイチで、どうも買う気がしない。
そこで、お気に入りのWガーゼの生地で作ってみることにしました。

「ハンカチを手作り～!?」っと思われるかも知れませんが、市販品のように三つ折にして神業のようなミシンをかけるわけではありません。（私にそんなテクはもちろんない）
作り方は簡単で、Wガーゼを中表して、ミシンをかけ、ひっくり返して縁にミシンをかけるだけ。
ダブルならぬ、４枚ガーゼですが、タオルのハンカチほどモコモコせず、肌触りもよく気に入っています。
四隅はまるくアールをつけると子供らしい感じになります。
サイズは制服のポケットの大きさに合わせて、１８センチ角にしましたが、１６センチ角でもよかったかな。
紛失することを考えて全部で6枚作りました。

これは私好みの柄で、つい買ってしまったマリン調ガーゼ＾＾；
ネームは「なまえテープ」1.5cm幅を使い、バスのスタンプ（手芸店にあった布用タイプ）を押して、こどもらしく（のつもり）。
アイロン接着も出来ますが、使用頻度を考えて一応ミシンをかけました。
私は初めて「なまえテープ」を使ったのですが、これって便利ですね＾＾
ナチュラルな生成り色（コットン１００％）でどんな布にもよく合うし、そして何よりも「なまえペン」が滲まないのが、とてもGOOD。
通販のネームプリントと迷ったんですが、スタンプなどでオリジナリティを出せるし、サイズもいろいろ変えられるしで、こっちで正解でした。

手芸の丸十はガーゼの生地が多く、息子の好きな車柄や子供向けのものも多かったです(通販もあり）。
５０センチも買えば、４枚は出来るかな。
うちの保育所は夏の制服がなく、ハンカチはズボンのポケットに入れるようになるので、収めやすいよう長方形タイプのハンカチも作ろうかなと考えています＾＾
